Another hiccup along the journey.....

I got my bone scan results back on Friday and there is a spot on my left 9th rib.  The scan said it was nonspecific but concerning for cancer.  I have a phone consultation with my oncologist in Mexico 1st thing Monday morning and then an appointment with my oncologist here on Tuesday.  I wish we knew more....but we don't.  So please continue to pray, specifically that it is not cancerous!!

Overall I have been feeling really well lately (and my blood work has been good too) so we are not sure what is going on........

As soon as I know more, I'll keep you informed.

God is good ALL the time!

The latest...

Again, I apologize for not "blogging" in the last couple of days/weeks.  I am doing well.  We got back from Mexico and Orlando and had a great time both places.  I met with my Oncologist a few days ago and my blood work is looking good.  He also presented my case before the tumor board (a group of local oncologists at our hospital out here).  He did a slide/powerpoint presentation where he 1st put up both of my CT scans side by side.  The CT scan I did when it was realized the tumors were back and the most recent CT scan which shows a 40% reduction in the size and number of tumors.  The next slide he went to he had "proposed treatment plan" and listed what he originally recommended that I do--the specific type of chemo, time, etc.  He then told all the oncologists that I did not follow his plan but had such great results and asked them if any of them knew of what I did.  Of course, none of them did.  His next slide was then a picture of the Oasis of Hope hospital with their plan of treatment.  The doctors started asking him questions like "are you positive she isn't receiving any chemotherapy?"  He said "no" she has a full head of hair and other questions where he continued to tell them that is was the only therapy I was doing and it was working.  He told me he was my advocate over at CHOMP (that is the name of our hospital out here).

I had a bone scan today.  They do not suspect anything but want to double check to make sure it has not spread to my bones.  I am praying this is not the case!  I should have the results in the next few days.  I'm feeling good--I have been walking almost every morning with Java (thanks Lanissa for inspiring me when we were in Orlando!!).

Till next time...
